“Come Fly with Us”

Purchase your Corporate Sponsorship and
be a part of this rewarding project.

Display your corporate logo on the
LifePaths MediFlight Airplane

LifePaths MediFlight is a medical service created specifically for rural populations. It provides a solution to the problem of health care access in rural communities by
providing ambulatory services, medicines, vaccines, and
surgical supplies to rural clinics. While international
news continues to focus on big operations, it is the
small services such as MediFlight that provide the care
in rural areas – in a homegrown, sustainable way that is
a long-term, cost-effective solution.

LifePaths Global Alliance MediFlight
In support of the Telemedicine Project

The excitement is building for LIFEPATHS MEDIFLIGHT and we want you to be a part of it. LifePaths Global Alliance (LGA) has recently acquired an airplane through the generous donation of Dr. Paul Gahlinger.

You have the opportunity to display your corporate logo on the MediFlight airplane, for a ten-year period. The airplane will include contributors’ names permanently laminated on the wings alongside beautiful Haitian art. Each contribution is taxdeductable, and each contributor will receive a complimentary signed copy of Dr. Gahlinger’s book Health for Pilots.

As we expand our TELEMEDICINE Project globally, your corporate sponsorship will be recognized as a contributor of this valuable program through the following:

• This London based project creates a stronger sense of community while increasing awareness of your corporation,
both locally and globally.

• LifePaths Global Alliance will continue raising awareness of LifePaths MediFlight through various venues including, local television, varied radio stations, Internet, and press releases, both locally and internationally.

• The MediFlight airplane was recently displayed at the World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and an estimated 600,000 participants saw the airplane.

• The MediFlight airplane, displaying your logo, will be displayed annually at local air shows in Ontario as well as select air shows in the U.S.

• Your Corporate logo will be recognized as GOLD, SILVER or BRONZE on the MediFlight airplane, the LGA website, blog and publicity materials for ongoing fundraisers and events.

• The MediFlight airplane will be available to other aid organizations throughout the Caribbean and Central America to provide ambulatory services.

History of MediFlight

After the devastating earthquake of January 12th, 2010, Haiti still has over 1.5 million displaced persons living in tents with little medical care. Most of the international relief organizations are based in the capital city, Port-au-Prince. The greatest crisis now is rural health care – which causes even greater problems in the city as people go there in desperation. The MediFlight airplane provides an alternative by creating access to medical care in rural communities.

About the Airplane

The Cessna Centurion is a high-performance aircraft that can haul heavy loads to rough fields, landing with a ground roll of just 500 feet. The airplane is popular throughout the world, from remote Alaska to outback Australia. It is not only a heavy hauler, but performs at a high-speed as well. The turbo-charged MediFlight airplane with built-in oxygen cruises over 200 mph – making the door-to-door trip between Haiti and Florida in less time than the airlines.

How it Works

Currently, it can take Haiti doctors 7-8 hours or more to drive to a rural community. With MediFlight, the same trip will be less than a half hour. In addition to delivering supplies, the airplane can also be used to transport critically ill patients to the hospital. The Haiti MediFlight service will provide local health care and reassurance to rural populations, reducing the inflow of rural people to the cities.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to read about LifePaths MediFlight. LifePaths Global Alliance looks forward to your sponsorship and making your corporation a part of this exciting and rewarding project.

A Personal Note

Elaine Knight, Founder and Chair of LifePaths Global Alliance and Fatima Haleem, Executive Director of LifePaths Global Alliance recently returned from their second journey to Haiti this year.

In their words…

Every single visit to Haiti has its own charm. During this last trip, we had the opportunity to spend 12 amazing days in the town of L’estere. L’estere is the home base of the Telemedicine Project. L’estere is a small close-knit community three hours north of Port-au-Prince where neighbors are considered family and visitors feel at home. It is a small yet vibrant community with many talented artists and musicians. After listening to some of these musicians perform, the LGA team has decided to give these young artists a voice by hosting fundraising concerts where they can showcase their talents to the broader community, and perhaps attract the attention of more popular Haitian media.

Music, dance, and art, however, are not the only attractive features of this small community. L’estere is also known for
producing eighty percent of the country’s rice. In many houses, rice hull paves the way to backyards that open up to
breathtaking rice fields. Market day also brings hundreds of vendors from surrounding towns to L’estere twice a week. One can purchase almost any household item at the market, not to mention, fresh fruits, vegetables and meat.

L’estere is ideal for LGA to initiate its Telemedicine Project because of its size and location. The LGA team is currently hosting weekly mobile clinics in L’estere in collaboration with Dr. Joseph Prosper to familiarize the community with the medical team. A team of medical agents from L’estere was trained during our visit and they have begun to operate the telemedicine clinic. We are proud to announce that over 150 patients a week are now receiving complimentary healthcare and prescriptions in the village of L’estere. Together we have created 6 healthcare related positions and have recently confirmed a building for the LGA Telemedicine Centre and Community Centre.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported our project and continue to support our efforts in Haiti. We will post regular updates from the Telemedicine Clinic and ask that you join us at http://lifepathsglobalalliance.blogspot.com/
